My words have stood the test of time
Every statement, every quote, every promise
as a cool fall night, the soft breeze to a wind chime,
another gesture of my authenticity and how I am honest
From the day coincidences aligned to reveal the bigger picture
Down to the current minute when the lights only seems to flicker
It's only been on my mind as I ponder, is this rapture?
Or does this...do you...simply boil down to being another chapter?
The light that will only flicker has not-so long to live
for that is what you and I wanted before and it is dying
Do you no longer care? Nothing left to give?
The death of me appears to be further trying...to see it live
I can't say I have ever loved before, but there is a first for everything.
You were that first, I knew that you were different.
Someone that would heal, actually care, and be accepting.
So close from so far away. Was it really to be? Or was will this death be something deliberate...?

Okay, so I haven't done poetry before, I think that is something new that I have looked to try for the past few months now. More-so than with my photography this will be direct as to what is going on with me or how I feel. Like a lot of poets do.
